Facility Operator – Newcomerstown, OH

Our client is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Facility Operator to support disposal and water management operations within assigned Ohio locations. This role is responsible for monitoring site performance, conducting routine maintenance, ensuring environmental compliance, and maintaining operational excellence.

The ideal candidate thrives in a hands-on, outdoor environment and takes pride in maintaining safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform equipment maintenance and repairs (valves, fittings, hoses, etc.)

  • Monitor tank levels, pressures, and perform tank gauging and thieving

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation systems on-site

  • Operate and monitor SCADA automation systems

  • Conduct daily JSAs and document activities electronically

  • Monitor sites for leaks, hazards, and safety concerns

  • Assist with tank and containment cleaning as needed

  • Replace and clean filters

  • Complete required SPCC inspections and compliance checklists

  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe facilities

  • Respond to on-call situations as scheduled

  • Submit accurate and timely timesheets

  • Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum 1 year of oil & gas industry experience

  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record

  • Strong attention to detail and time-management skills

  • Ability to work independently in a field environment

  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable

  • Willingness to be on call as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of oil & gas experience

  • Experience overseeing or coordinating contract workers

Physical & Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly

  • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and walking

  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions

  • Exposure to loud environments, H2S, and other industry-related chemicals

  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Must be comfortable working in low-light conditions at times
